چکیده
Spatial and temporal information on urban infrastructure is essential requires various land-cover/land-use planning management applications. Besides, a change in has direct impact other land-cover climatic conditions. This study assessed changes the rate spatial distribution of Peshawar district’s its effects Land Surface Temperature (LST) during years 1996 2019. For this purpose, firstly, satellite images bands7 8 ETM+(Enhanced Thematic Mapper) plus OLI (Operational Imager) 30 m resolution were taken. Secondly, for classification image processing, remote sensing (RS) applications ENVI (Environment Visualising Images) GIS (Geographic Information System) used. Thirdly, better visualization more in-depth analysis land sat images, pre-processing techniques employed. use cover (LU/LC) four types areas identified – vegetation area, water cover, urbanized infertile under research. The composition red, green, near infra-red bands was used supervised classification. Classified extracted analyzing relative change. A comparative performed SVM (Support Vector Machine) ANN (Artificial Neural Network). Based these result shows rise average temperature from 30.04°C to 45.25°C. only possible reason increase built-up area 78.73 332.78 Area km2 It also been witnessed that city’s sides are hotter than center due barren borders.

Impact of urban land cover change on land surface temperature
The rapid growth in urban population is seen to create a need for the development of more urban infrastructures. In order to meet this need, natural surfaces such as vegetation are been replaced with non-vegetated surfaces such as asphalt and bricks which has the ability to absorb heat and release it later. This change in land cover is seen to increase the land surface temperature. Previous stu...
متن کاملLand cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing
Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...
متن کاملThe Impact of Land Use/Land Cover Changes on Groundwater Resources Using Remote Sensing & GIS (Case Study: Khan-Mirza Plain)
Hydrological status and water table fluctuations are directly related to land use and/or land cover (LULC) changes in each area. In this research, the impact of LULC changes on groundwater quantity and quality of Khan-Mirza Plain, in the northern Karun watersheds, was investigated. For this purpose, Landsat 5, 7 and 8 satellite images and ETM and OLI sensors were employed to prepare the L...

This study analyzes the characteristics of land use/land cover change in Jordan’s Irbid governorate, 1984–2018, and predicts future land use/land cover for 2030 and 2050 using a cellular automata-Markov model. The results inform planners and decision makers of past and current spatial dynamics of land use/land cover change and predicted urban expansion, for a better understanding and successful...
متن کاملRemote Sensing Applications: Beyond Land-Use and Land-Cover Change
Remotely sensed (RS) imagery is increasingly being adopted in investigations and applications outside of traditional land-use land-cover change (LUCC) studies. This is due to the increased awareness by governments, NGOs and Industry that earth observation data provide important and useful spatial and temporal information that can be used to make better decisions, design policies and address pro...
